Black Bears in Riverview No Guns so far today

Black Bears in Riverview No Guns so far today
2 bears were spotted around 9 A.M. this morning on Coverdale Road by the Gunningsville Blvd. area of Riverview just across the bridge from Moncton. D.N.R. and Codiac R.C.M.P. were on Rivercrest Drive and Audrey last place the bears were scene, as they were parked there a small bear ran across Gunningsville and was walking along the West side of the Blvd. looking for the Mother bear. A short time later a huge black bear ran out in front vehicles on Gunningsville Blvd. almost got hit and is now on the East side of the road looking for the cub that is on the other side of the Blvd. R.C.M.P. came up to check the area but she didn't see the bears. A woman walking her dog crossed right where the huge bear was last seen and came up the trail where I was standing and I told her that a huge bear just crossed ahead of her and she said her dog was smelling something and acting strange. I walked along the trail with a reporter , up where the bear had just crossed we could hear noises coming from the woods but never spotted the bear again but she was headed back towards Rivercrest drive area , shortly before 12 noon. A lot less Police in the area today compared to the other night when they shot a Baby Bear that was hiding behind ambulance dispatch center on John Street , when the public starting yelling and cursing at DNR and the Police. I seen quite a few woman out walking dogs , kids skateboarding , people on bicycles and Police not warning them of the danger today???
