Adoptions surge at new dog shelter
to boost dog adoptions in record numbers at a Pueblo nonprofit dog shelter, officials said Wednesday. Beverly Kachel, president of PAWS for Life Animal Welfare & Protection Society, said 97 dogs were adopted from the shelter in January.
