Retirement time for Matthews police dog
(By Steve Lyttle, slyttle@charlotteobserver.com) At the ripe old age of 9, Reno can't run quite as fast and has problems getting in and out of a car, friend Kevin Osuch says.So the Matthews Police Department has retired Reno, a Belgian Malinois who has been part of the department's K-9 dog unit for seven years. He will live in retirement with the family of Osuch, a Matthews police officer who has been his handler.
